This is awesome. Al Capone also stayed in Alcatraz as well. This is  very creepy prison though I must admit. I'd love to see it myself someday.

Wow, excellent photos. I keep meaning to visit there but haven't gotten around to it. Now I will make certain to soon.

[this is good] Great decay shots! I'm always interested in seeing decaying human-made objects, for some reason I find it fascinating.

Very very cool, in a creepy, disturbing, haunted, sad kinda way. I didn't know where Eastern State is so googled it -- Philly, right? Old prisons are a passion, I make a point of including them in my (fairly extensive) travels. This one looks particularly disturbing. I see from their Web site that they're hiring for the Halloween season. Interested?

p.s. I'm taken by the lighting. Many prisons are so dark, you can barely get a photo. How is it that the light in this place is so ample?

Cool pictures! Visiting this place has been on my "to-do" list for awhile :o)

Wow, your pics really convey the feeling of the place. It seems like it would be a good location for filming horror movies! The odd image of antiques in Al Capone's cell, and the synagogue, are really striking.
